Zattoo has announced Niklas Brambring will step down from his role as CEO of the company.
Brambring, who took on the role in January 2012, is leaving the company at his own wish, following a lengthy planning and consultation period with the board of directors. Zattoo said it has begun the search for a successor and Brambring will remain fully committed until a replacement has been found and onboarded.
Zattoo’s chairman of the board of directors,Sam Hügli, said, “We would like to thank Nick Brambring for his commitment and well-coordinated planning. Our largest shareholders, the TX Group and Bea Knecht, want to continue with profitable growth. To this end, we are looking for the best possible successor to strategically develop Zattoo together with the team and find the next growth drivers. We still have a lot planned for this year. It’s too early to say goodbye.”
Brambring said: “These are exciting times and the team is doing a great job. Our subscription numbers in DACH are growing steadily. In Germany in particular, the “elimination of cost apportionment for cable TV” opens up opportunities and we are well positioned as the CHIP test winner. Our B2B offering “TV-as-a-Service” is developing very well throughout Europe. I look forward to continuing to work with the team and our Board of Directors and then to introducing the new CEO.”
