Talk us through an average day in your role
My day begins with news, research, and insights. Uncovering the new trends and opportunities in the industry provides clarity around our clients’ business challenges. The early morning is focused on reporting and measurement of the booking process. Our business relies on cross-functional collaboration. The remainder of the day is spent with my team and clients.

How did you get started in the media industry?
My first role in media was at a real estate started in New York City. We were heavily dependent on digital media to create awareness and drive subscriptions. The need to understand media monetisation was paramount. I quickly learned search engine tactics and built relationships with the large digital publishers.
What training did you have before entering the industry?
I was a pharmaceutical and medical device salesman early in my professional career. The training was invaluable. To be successful, you needed to understand the medical condition, therapies, and outcomes. A lot of the complexity of the process is applicable today.
Why do you enjoy working in the industry?
I enjoy the fast pace of the media industry. The convergence of media and technology, and of course, the evolution of live sports.
What piece of advice would you offer someone looking to explore a role similar to yours?
Be curious, ask questions, and take a chance. Try everything once.
