Landsec has announced the appointment of Alice Webb as CEO of MediaCity.
The newly created role will bring both MediaCity and the TV studio facility dock10 under a single, unified leadership and supports Landsec’s ambitious growth plans, said the company.
Webb will formally take up the role in September, at which time Mark Senior, CEO of dock10 since 2012, will step down as part of the transition.
Previously chief operating officer of BBC North, Webb was responsible for directing the broadcaster’s relocation to the Salford site in 2011. She has also held senior leadership positions, including director of children’s and education at the corporation, overseeing CBeebies and CBBC.
In her most recent role at Universal Music Group, she served as founding CEO of Mercury Studios, the group’s global film and TV production distribution company.

Webb will be responsible for delivering MediaCity’s long-term vision to become the home of future media and will support new forms of content creation and digital innovation.
