Broadcast Pix has completed its purchase of cloud-based video production company ioGates.
ioGates has provided web-based video management tools since 2003, developing a suite of tools designed to simplify media workflows.
Prior to the acquisition, the two companies partnered to develop the new BPNet cloud-based IP media workflow and storage system, currently being demonstrated at IBC2016.
Accessed through a browser-based interface, the BPNet production ecosystem is designed for creating, sharing, distributing, and archiving content.
“IP has been a part of the Broadcast Pix strategy for almost a decade, and our acquisition of ioGates underscores our commitment to cloud-based video production workflows over IP networks,” said Kevin Prince, Broadcast Pix CEO.
“With the architects of BPNet now part of the Broadcast Pix team, we will continue to provide cloud-based solutions for our customers and lead the innovation in this emerging market.”
