Shure acquires software company AB Wavemark Oy

The acquisition will enable Shure to expand its portfolio of solutions that enable creative productions across broadcast, and content creation, said the company

Shure has reached an agreement to acquire software company Ab Wavemark Oy, whose products are used in film, TV, broadcast, and content streaming applications.

The acquisition will add Wavemark’s products to Shure’s professional audio portfolio, said the company.

“The acquisition of Ab Wavemark Oy will further underscore Shure’s commitment to providing our professional audio customers with innovative solutions that enhance workflow,” said Nick Wood, senior director, wireless category, at Shure. “We are excited to expand our portfolio with cutting-edge and customer-centric solutions that enable creative productions across broadcast, and content creation.” 

Wavermark’s Wavetool is an audio and listening application that provides monitoring for audio professionals. The solution can detect potential audio problems early, streamline communication capabilities with the sound team, and its monitoring functionalities are all centralised, said the company.

This upcoming acquisition aligns with Shure’s continued focus on delivering cutting-edge audio software solutions that meet the diverse needs of the professional audio market, said Shure.
