AP launches AI-powered content delivery platform

The new AP Newsroom platform features breaking news alerts, intuitive navigation and AI-powered content discovery

The Associated Press has debuted its AI-powered content delivery platform.

Featuring a redesigned interface and customisable homepages, the new AP Newsroom aims to enable users to easily navigate the organisation’s library of visual, audio and text content. Alongside new and enhanced features, the platform will include AI-powered search and content recommendations.

Key features include:

  • “Storylines,” a new tool powered by Storytelling AI from ShortTok that enables discovery of curated video and photo content organised around key themes and stories
  • “More Like This,” also from ShortTok, leveraging AI to display visually similar and contextually relevant related content.
  • Customisable homepages, allowing users to focus topics, regions and formats to meet their needs.
  • Access to content in AP’s exclusive historical archives.
  • Breaking news alerts now with audio alerting, offering real-time updates on the latest stories as they unfold.
