Synamedia and Telxius have announced an integration bringing the Telxius carrier-grade CDN into the Quartex Switch multi-CDN management platform.
The collaboration aims to enhance content providers’ steering capabilities, switching viewers between CDNs based on Quality of Experience (QoE) and cost, expanding coverage and extending reach.
As a trusted IP transit provider for numerous ISPs, Telxius reaches millions of global users. Directly integrated into its Tier 1 IP high-capacity backbone and submarine cable systems, Telxius’ carrier-grade CDN provides high performance, reliability and security, said the company. The integration enables end-to-end control of traffic delivery, rapid scalability of infrastructure and ensures cost efficiency across the entire CD deployment.
SaaS-based Quortex Switch aims to simplify multi-CDN system design and management to support high-quality streaming and provide disaster recovery. Launched last year, the solution is based on the latest industry standards to eliminate traditional client dependencies, enabling instant deployment without modifying players or apps. Quortex Switch dynamically optimises traffic based on real-time QoE, delivering true mid-stream switching and providing open standard APIs for rapid onboarding of new CDNs.
