Dr Manuel Cubero, CEO of Kabel Deutschland and chief commercial officer at Vodafone Germany, will deliver the opening plenary at IBC on Thursday 8 September (09:15, Forum).
This opening session promises insights and strategies about how Dr Cubero is leading Germany’s largest cable network through a challenging and transforming media landscape.
Dr Cubero first joined Kabel Deutschland in 2003 and held a variety of management positions before moving into his current role in 2014.
Prior to joining Kabel Deutschland, Dr Cubero was managing director of several companies in the Kirch Group, founder and managing director of an internet betting company and a consultant at Egon Zehnder International for the media and telecommunications sector. He has also been the chief commercial officer of Vodafone Germany since 2015.
He gained an MBA at the INSEAD Business School and holds a PhD in physics from Darmstadt Technical University. He is a member of the Board of Directors of Cable Labs, VP of Cable Europe (European Cable Communications Association) and also VP of ANGA (Association of German Cable Operators). He will be joined on stage in this Keynote session, which opens the IBC Conference, by Dominique Delport who leads Havas Media Group/Vivendi Content and by chair Kate Bulkley.
