BT Sport to remotely produce FA Cup Final

Team will use the broadcaster's remote production base at High Wycombe, with live presentation from Wembley and a remote gallery based at the BT Sport studios in Stratford

The BT Sport production will remotely produce coverage of this weekend’s FA Cup final from Wembley.

BT is the host broadcaster for the match between Arsenal and Chelsea on Saturday.

The team will use the broadcaster’s remote production base at High Wycombe, with live presentation from Wembley and a remote gallery based at the BT Sport studios in Stratford.

A spokesperson for BT Sport told TVBEurope the production set-up will be similar that used by the broadcaster at the beginning of lockdown, when BT Sport created its remote, decentralised gallery to produce live programming from home.

However, the FA Cup final will see the broadcaster “doing that on a bigger scale across the UK, so having the infrastructure in people’s homes but also having somewhere they can travel to,” the spokesperson said.

As with Premier League matches, the game will be available with dynamic crowd noise to make up for the absence of fans in the stadium.

BT Sport will also broadcast the match in 4K UHD with HDR and Dolby Atmos on its BT Ultimate channel.
