Recode XR expands into new dedicated virtual production space

Recode recently invested in an upgrade to its current volume, with high-spec Absen LED panels with Brompton processing

Manchester-based virtual production company Recode XR will open the doors to a new facility in February.

The company is moving to Space Studios, the 17 acre, 6 stage complex in east Manchester from its current base in Trafford Park.

Recode recently invested in an upgrade to its current volume, with high-spec Absen LED panels with Brompton processing following new wins across a raft of productions, including Sky’s Protection, and a return contract with ITV’s Coronation Street.

The new volume at Space Studios will also include Ncam Tracking, Scan 3XS hardware and will receive continuous support from Aximmetry.

Speaking about the move, Gareth Turner, co-founder of Recode said, ‘We’ve had an incredibly exciting couple of years and we’ve now surpassed the capacity of our current location. We’ve been in discussions with Space for a while and we see this as an ideal, mutually beneficial move which will help to future-proof productions for us and for Space.

“This strategic move aligns with Recode’s new ‘install VP anywhere’ approach, enabling us to deploy our VP services at any studio or set location across the UK. By transitioning to Space, we position ourselves to deliver exceptional results and empower clients to bring their creative visions to life.”
