YouTube Premium (the new name for YouTube Red) is set to launch across Europe “soon”.
The service will be available in the UK, Austria, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Norway, Russia, Spain, Sweden, and Switzerland
So far, YouTube has only revealed the cost of the service as $11.99 a month in the US, there has been no announcement of the UK and European equivalent.
YouTube is promising subscribers more original content, including a second season of Cobra Kai, a continuation of the Karate Kid stories.
In terms of European content, YouTube has already commissioned football-entertainment series Jack Whitehall: Training Days.
More new Originals from around the globe are on the way,” YouTube said, promising “comedies, dramas, reality series and action adventure shows from the UK, Germany, France, and more.”
