Broadcasting Center Europe integrates BCNEXXT’s playout solution into Media-as-a-Service platform

According to the companies, the move enables broadcasters to launch channels faster, scale services on demand, and is particularly suited to dynamic channel strategies such as FAST and thematic channels

Broadcasting Center Europe (BCE) has incorporated BCNEXXT’s Vipe playout solution into its Media-as-a-Service (MaaS) platform.

According to the company, the move strengthens the MaaS ecosystem by adding advanced playout capabilities accessible directly to customers through its platform.

Vipe leverages adaptive logic and machine learning to “replace traditional rule-based playout systems with a more intelligent and automated approach”.

The integration enables broadcasters to launch channels faster, scale services on demand, and is particularly suited to dynamic channel strategies such as FAST and thematic channels, said BCE.

“By integrating Vipe into our Media-as-a-Service platform, we enable customers to launch channels faster and operate them more efficiently across complex environments,” said Nicolas Serres, head of architecture at BCE. “This partnership combines performance, flexibility, and a cost-effective approach that meets the evolving needs of broadcasters.”

“We are very pleased that after an extensive evaluation, BCE chose Vipe to be part of their MaaS platform,” added Graham Sharp, VP of sales and marketing, BCNEXXT. “Vipe provides intelligence, flexibility, and a fundamentally much more attractive cost model to playout.”
