YouTube has extended its deal with the organising body for French football, Ligue de Football Professionel (LFP).
The extended deal means YouTube’s four channels for the LFP include Ligue 1 Conforama and Ligue 1 Conforama Official, Domino’s Ligue 2, and the League Cup, will continue during the 2017/18 season.
The video sharing platform has also created an English language broadcast channel.
YouTube and LFP first partnered in 2012.
The platform also announced that in August of this year, views of the LFP channels reached 18 million, more than twice the amount for the same period in 2016.
The increase comes after Neymar’s arrival at Paris Saint-Germain over the summer, with Brazil becoming the second highest country after France for LFP views since the kick-off of the 2017/18 season.
