Tesla to offer in-car Netflix, YouTube

Elon Musk announces "amazingly immersive, cinematic feel"

Elon Musk has announced that Tesla owners will be able to stream Netflix and YouTube in their cars when parked and eventually in self-driving mode.

Musk tweeted the news citing an “amazingly immersive, cinematic feel due to the comfy seats and surround sound audio.”

“When full self-driving is approved by regulators, we will enable video while moving,” he added.

The announcement follows previous plans to offer games in-car, including Cuphead, Tempest, Pole Position and Missile Command, with the steering wheel acting as a controller.

A Tesla Network ride-sharing app will also go online next year, enabling drivers to list their cars as lift services.
