German cable operator Tele Columbis is set to launch its own TVoD service.
Developed in partnership with the Tele München Group and On Demand Deutschland, the service will deliver Hollywood blockbusters and independent films.
The move comes as Tele Columbus look to match rivals Vodafone and Deutsche Telekom in providing a VoD service.
Content providers include 20th Century Fox, Warner Bros, Universal, Paramount Pictures and independent films will be supplied by the likes of the Tele München Group, Constantin and StudioCanal.
The multiscreen platform is currently in an extended field trial, and will be introduced along with new set-top-boxes at the end of 2016.
