Redge Technologies selected as technology partner for Latvian Public Service Media

The multi-year partnership aims to deliver a new unified audio and video streaming platform for LPSM

Redge Technologies has announced it has been selected as a technology partner by Latvian Public Service Media (LPSM), as the broadcaster transitions to a digitally focused service.

Following a competitive public procurement process, Redge was chosen to deliver a new platform aiming to simplify accessibility of content across devices, including web, mobile and Smart TVs. The multi-year partnership will see the platform developed gradually, with the first new features expected by the end of this year. LPSM will continue development of its LSM.Iv portal as a news and digital content platform in parallel with the new streaming environment.

Baiba Zūzena, chairperson of the board of LPSM, commented, “Today the value of public media is defined not only by the content we create, but also by our ability to reach audiences. More and more people live in the digital environment, and public media must also be there – with trusted, high-quality and easily accessible content. The new platform is an important step in making public media content available in a modern and user-friendly environment.”

Przemysław Frasunek, CEO of Redge Technologies, added, “Over the years we have accumulated hands-on experience delivering streaming platforms for some of Europe’s most demanding broadcasters – including public service media with unique reach and trust obligations. We know what it takes to build at this scale and we are committed to making LPSM’s platform a benchmark for public media in the region.”
