STV Player has launched UK-wide on YouView, granting users access to a selection of content from the Scottish SVoD.
Licensing agreements limit STV’s Channel 3 network to broadcast in Scotland only, but the broadcaster will add new content to STV Player on a monthly basis – including Street Hospital, Vogue Williams Investigates and Secrets of the Paranormal World.
The STV app is automatically available on every YouView box.
“This is an exciting period of growth for the STV Player,” said STV MD Richard Williams. “We’re constantly enhancing our offering on the STV Player and are delighted that a wide selection of programming is now available to viewers across the UK on YouView platform.”
