Orange is set to release its new 4K-ready Livebox on 19 May.
The device, which was unveiled at its Hello Show Event in March, will enable multiscreen connectivity throughout the home.
The release date has been planned to hit the market in time for the Euro 2016 tournament in France.
“We’re proud of this box. It responds to the change in needs expressed by our customers, who want unrivalled connectivity and expect an incomparable internet experience on every screen in the home,” said Fabienne Dulac, senior executive vice president, Orange France.
“The new Livebox feeds into our fibre development strategy in France and will help us achieve our objective of 1.6 million fibre customers by the end of the year.”
The set-top box will also bring customers UHD films on Orange’s own OCS Go and OCS Max channels, as well as French rugby and football coverage on Canal+.
