Eurosport partners with Facebook to extend Winter Games digital coverage

Daily short form highlights will be available in UK, Germany, Italy, Sweden and Norway

Eurosport has partnered with Facebook to extend its digital coverage of the PyeongChang Winter Olympics.

The broadcaster will livestream the Games’ Opening Ceremony on Facebook to viewers in Germany, Sweden and Norway.

It is also make daily short form highlights, interviews and clips available on its Facebook page for viewers across Europe, including in the UK, Germany, Italy, Sweden and Norway.

Michael Lang, president DNI Digital and Eurosport Digital, said: “For the first time in close to 50 European countries, one digital provider will stream every minute of every Olympic Games event, starting with the Olympics ceremony this Friday from PyeongChang.

We are committed to redefining the Olympic Games experience and in addition to streaming every event live and on-demand, our use of Eurosport experts, athletes, digital influencers and first-of-its-kind mobile studio will bring digital audiences closer to the Games than ever before.”
