Warner Bros. Discovery Sports Europe has revealed details of its Winter Olympics studios.
With 100 days to go before the opening of the Olympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026, Warner Brothers Discovery (WBD) Sports Europe has showcased its purpose-built studios.
Providing coverage for millions of viewers around the world, the two-floor studio will broadcast from the Nations Village in Cortina d’Ampezzo. Dedicated sets for Italy, Germany, Norway and Poland will serve Eurosport’s production, aiming to connect fans with every event taking place.
Live windows from an extensive virtual studio will enable deeper analysis of different sports, said WBD, with athletes and guests featuring throughout the Games to complement its coverage. Extending beyond its linear coverage, WBD’s streaming platforms will feature a number of innovations. For the first time in an Olympic Winter Games, in-app key moment markers will allow users to scroll back, ensuring none of the action is missed. Gold medal alerts will notify viewers of unfolding Olympic stories. Up to 20 commentary languages will be available to subscribers along with the ability to follow specific sports throughout the tournament.
WBD has announced it will provide access to every event at the Games broadcast live in all HBO Max plans in Europe, including Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg and Italy where live Olympics content will be enabled on the platform for the first time following its launch in January 2026. The Olympic Winter Games will also be available on discovery+ in certain territories.
In the lead-up to the Games, WBD is providing 1,427 hours across 131 days of live winter sports action on Eurosport, TNT Sports, HBO Max and discovery+. With reporters embedded across Europe, up to 15 venues a day will be covered at the height of the season, including live coverage of every World Cup event. Further details of original productions, documentaries, winter sports content and athlete stories will be released closer to the start of the Games.
