Deutsche Telekom extends Netflix deal across Europe

Content will now be available through all of Deutsche Telekom's subsidiaries

Deutsche Telekom has extended a deal with Netflix to make the SVoD content available to all of its subsidiaries in Europe.

The agreement will see the content reach subscribers throughout Austria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Hungary and Slovakia, having already been available in Germany, Poland and the Netherlands. 

The company did not give a timeline for when it would be rolled out to these new markets.

Thomas Kicker, SVP, group partnering, Deutsche Telekom, said: “We want to ensure the best content offering and TV experience for our customers and will work with Netflix to further expand our great partnership.”

Maria Ferreras, Netflix VP business development, EMEA, added: “This partnership builds on our already strong relationship with Deutsche Telekom.

“We are thrilled to open a new world of exclusive and critically-acclaimed entertainment for millions of Deutsche Telekom’s TV and Mobile customers in Europe.”
