Netflix is believed to be planning to launch a new animation studio that will use generative AI to create short-form videos.
According to reports, the streamer is launching INKubator, which will focus on creating generative AI content.
While Netflix has not officially launched the studio, there are multiple job listings on the company’s careers website.
In a listing for a technical director, Netflix describes INKubator as “our pioneering team creating animated shorts and specials using experimental, creative-led, GenAI-native production pipelines”.
The development of INKubator follows Netflix’s recent acquisition of AI startup InterPositive, founded by Ben Affleck, which uses artificial intelligence in post production.
