Canal Digital launches downloadable content

Viewers can use the offline functionality within Canal Digital apps from 3rd October

Nordic DTH operator Canal Digital will allow viewers to download its content from tomorrow.

The company says the move reflects the on-going changes in the way the audience views content, and also allows them to watch programming while away from the home.

“We work hard to provide our customers with the best TV offering, whether it’s at home or on the go. By launching offline and allowing our customers to download the content they love, they get an even more flexible TV product,” said Canal Digital chief product and digital officer, Tone Krohn Clausen.

“We expect offline will be very well received, as we know many customers want to be able to bring their favourite series and films with them, without always needing to be online.”
