Dejero and FileCatalyst aim for speedy file transfers

Pair partner to increase speeds for broadcasters moving large amounts of data in the field

Dejero and FileCatalyst are working together to enable broadcasters to move large data quickly, securely, and reliably back to base while in the field.

Dejero’s GateWay mobile Internet connectivity solution and FileCatalyst’s Direct are combining to allow OB teams to access media asset management (MAM) systems, create fully packaged reports, news clips, and upload complete stories faster.

FileCatalyst Direct allows broadcasters to send media content and digital assets globally at very high speed, ingest media from outside colleagues and production teams, and manage production, post-production, and editing locations.

In addition, Dejero GateWay can offer FileCatalyst users the benefits of fast, reliable, and secure connectivity to the internet, private networks, and cloud services while in the field by blending cellular connections from multiple mobile network providers with other available wired and wireless IP connections. Dejero algorithms intelligently manage the fluctuating bandwidth of individual connections to provide reliability and speed.

“Our customers need to get their content back to the station as quickly as possible, so combining the two technologies adds real value,” said Kevin Fernandes, vice president of sales at Dejero.

Elton Carneiro, director of strategic partnerships and cloud services at FileCatalyst added: “It was difficult for us to find a solution to match the speed of file transfers our customers are used to, but Dejero GateWay has proven to be the exception, and this partnership takes fast file transfers in the field to a whole new level.”

The combination of Dejero GateWay mobile internet connectivity solution and FileCatalyst Direct will be demonstrated at Dejero’s IBC Stand 11.C15.
