Vizrt has announced the release of Vizrt XR Venue, a real-time virtual enhancement solution for sports featuring Viz Arena 5, which is designed to enable sports broadcasters to “enhance valuable content with state-of-the-art live AR graphics”.
The company said that XR Venue sits on its IO platform, which serves as Vizrt’s “backbone for future sports developments” along with with XR Playbook, which was launched earlier this year.
“Using the world’s most advanced real-time virtual graphics,
The unified IO is geared to offer more flexibility and scalability to produce upstream at the venue or in a downstream workflow at the studio and a flexible choice of playout. “The output can be added directly on top of the programme feed to the mixer as a separate source, which benefits workflows and output quality of high-class productions,” said the company.
XR Venue supports UHD and HDR in their native formats and supported workflows, while the IP-based video formats allow for virtualised and remote production workflows.
