TVT, an independent media services and post production house, has launched its cloud-based media management platform, ContentSelect, which delivers transmission-ready content for linear TV and video on-demand

TVT, an independent media services and post production house, has launched its cloud-based media management platform, ContentSelect. The software offers a toolset which delivers transmission-ready content for linear TV and video on-demand, and is currently being used to manage UKTV media operations for its 11 channel brands.

ContentSelect manages media operations and ensures content is edited, packaged and delivered on time, to the correct specifications. Its dashboard gives customers a real-time update on the status of all assets in the workflow chain. The platform has comprehensive modules for all elements of programme sales, channel and VoD preparation, including quality control, compliance viewing and editing, coordination with language vendors, metadata creation and association, promo production, stills capture, transcodes and deliveries.

“With the continued proliferation of content, and with more broadcasters and content owners trying to reach an ever wider audiences with increasingly localised content, being able to quickly and securely turn around content is key and that means having efficient media operations and trusted partners that can deliver,” said Ian Brotherston (pictured), CEO of TVT. “Our years of experience means we have been able to develop ContentSelect with the needs of broadcasters and content owners in mind. Not only can the platform scale to meet every customers’ individual requirements, but giving them complete visibility over their content means they can have peace of mind that their content is being created, prepared and delivered on time, all the time.”

The modular design of ContentSelect means workflow units can be customised to meet individual needs, while the SaaS licence model means that customers can keep their media operations in-house but still take advantage of the operational and commercial benefits ContentSelect enables.

Arkadiusz Musial, head of software development at TVT added, “At TVT we understand that it is critical for content to be made suitable from a technical, editorial, regulatory and cultural perspective, which is why we have designed and built ContentSelect to support broadcasters and content owners as they take their content global. So whether it’s making a programme culturally sensitive to meet legal regulations, putting in six ad breaks or having none at all, adding subtitles or dubbing in one of 34 languages, incorporating product placement, making a programme suitable for both pre and post watershed, as well as for linear TV and OTT ContentSelect will meet your needs and deliver your content exactly how you want it.”
