Blue Lucy has announced an upgrade to its BLAM platform.
Aiming to provide users with enhanced workflow management, BLAM’s task application has been expanded to ensure relevant information is always visible and available alongside the tools and resources necessary to complete the job at hand. All required metadata, media and other assets are automatically made available when a task is opened in BLAM, increasing efficiency, reducing errors and enabling teams to concentrate on higher value work.
Once a task has been completed, the next stage in the workflow is triggered, whether an automated action such as transcoding or another manual task to be completed by a user, said the company.

The upgrade maximises configurability enabling profiles and deadlines to be set, users assigned and tasks filtered according to a range of criteria. Tasks can be assigned to individual users, teams or guests, with permissions managed to ensure only the required applications and assets are made available. BLAM can be integrated with project management tools including Trello and Monday.com, with updates and notifications shareable via email, Teams and Slack to enhance management within wider organisational workflows.
Joshua Martin, head of product at Blue Lucy, commented, “Blue Lucy originally led the way in integrating task and asset management, and now we’re taking this to the next level. While automation has become increasingly important in creating efficient workflows, we still need human intervention at critical stages of the process. With this new release, tasks and automation are truly integrated and central to all our customers’ workflows.”
