Timeline to deliver BBC’s Christmas Day Service 2017

Live transmission will come from the All Saints Church in Fulham

Timeline Television is working with BBC Religion to deliver the live transmission of the corporation’s live transmission of the Christmas Day Service from All Saints Church in Fulham.

Timeline’s OB truck, UHD1, will be in Fulham for three days of rigging and rehearsals culminating in the live HD broadcast on Christmas Day morning.

The facilities include six Sony UHD cameras on mobile mounts to capture all the ceremony and atmosphere of the service. The 4K facilities will ensure “superb” picture quality for the HD broadcast, said Timeline, adding that the unit’s Calrec sound desk, along with an array of music quality microphones, will capture the “music and ambience” of the church.

The live HD transmission will be handled by Timeline’s 4K UHD uplink truck, RF1. The 7.5-tonne RF truck is capable of delivering multiple UHD and HD uplinks.

The BBC Christmas Day Service will be live on BBC One on Monday 25th December at 10.00am.
