With only two weeks to go until Beyond Masters 2013, it has been confirmed that Telegenic will present a case study, with Platinum Sponsor Sony.
Entitled ‘Technology Developments for Content Creation in 4K’, the case study will be led by Telegenic’s commercial manager, Eamonn Curtin. It will describe how leading edge technology has been incorporated into the company’s next generation Outside Broadcast (OB) vehicle, the world’s first 4K multi-camera live OB truck.
Telegenic has recently purchased multiple EVS XT3 live broadcast servers to equip its new 4K truck, financed by Fineline Media Finance. Telegenic is working with Sony to develop Ultra-HD live coverage, and the T25 truck is currently on its way to Brazil to cover three football matches in U-HD.
Peter Bates, managing director, Telegenic, said, “EVS has been the industry standard for live broadcast for servers for several years. Their latest machine, XT3, offers an increase in the number of channels and will work in AVC-1 which is our preferred choice of HD codec for quality.”
Taking place on 11 June at BAFTA, TVBEurope’s Beyond HD Masters 2013 conference follows the successful series of HD and 3D Masters conferences from TVBEurope that helped to chart and forecast the maturation of HD and 3D in the broadcast market.
