Spain’s Atresmedia upgrades remote editing systems with Avid

The new agreement offers the broadcaster the immediate flexibility and scalability that the creative teams require to stay ahead of the shifting demand for content, said Avid

Spanish broadcaster Atresmedia is signed an agreement with Avid to significantly increase its remote editing workflows as it upgrades existing user seats on the company’s MediaCentral platform.

According to Avid, the amount of content Atresmedia produces for their own channels and shares on other outlets continues to increase, which has led to update of its technology.

The new agreement offers the broadcaster the immediate flexibility and scalability that the creative teams require to stay ahead of the shifting demand for content, said Avid.

“This strategic project is a natural evolution of the relationship between Atresmedia and Avid in place since 2015, but with the aim to introduce new capabilities and features gradually to improve the user experience, increase efficiency and shorten time to air,” said Avid.

Atresmedia has also added enterprise-wide access to the Avid Learning Central subscription-based e-learning platform, which is designed to empower teams and individuals to learn at their own pace and maintain technical proficiency.
