Smoke & Mirrors deploys Emotion File Finish

London visual effects and post production facility Smoke & Mirrors has ordered licenses for Emotion Systems' eFF software application, which automatically analyses and fixes audio loudness violations in file-based media.

London visual effects and post production facility Smoke & Mirrors has ordered licenses for Emotion Systems’ eFF (Emotion File Finish) software application, which automatically analyses and fixes audio loudness violations in file-based media. Emotion’s eFF ensures that audio problems are corrected by performing deep analysis of file-based media with accurate modeling of analoguePeak Programme Meters (PPMs) and loudness detection parameters. According to Smoke & Mirrors Co-Founder and CTO Mark Wildig, “We worked very closely with Emotions Systems to evolve eFF, almost from inception. What impresses me about Emotion is that they truly listened to what we had to say and, more important, genuinely understood the complexities of our workflow. Using eFF has vastly accelerated our analysis, measurement and reporting processes.” Emotion Systems’ CEO MC Patel said, “Smoke & Mirrors has been an integral partner in developing what we consider to be benchmark file correction technology. Together, we’ve proven not only the power of eFF, but the range of applications for its extremely intuitive analysis capabilities.” Wildig added, “Our lockstep approach to development and, now, implementation of eFF has been a revelation as to just how efficient and cost-effective it can be to ensure audio file compliance when you understand the operational and technical requirements.” Emotion’s eFF is now available worldwide and is suitable for any facility that supplies file-based content media. www.emotion-systems.com
