An extension to the UHF-R premier wireless system, the UR5 portable wireless receiver for professional cameras has two-antenna diversity to ensure solid RF performance. It features Multi Transmitter Mode (MTX) which, at the touch of a button, switches between multiple transmitters, a wide tuning range up to 80 MHz, and ‘scan & sync’ for fast and efficient frequency set-up. The UR5 is powered by either conventional AA batteries, specific Shure rechargeable batteries or a plug-in module that charges the receiver via the camera.

The UR3 plug-on transmitter for wired microphones offers programmable microphone preset lists to tailor settings such as gain or low cut filter. 12 or 48 V phantom power can be switched on optionally; two AA batteries are responsible for the power supply. The UR5 and UR3 are compatible with both Shure UHF-R and the Axient Wireless Management Network.

The VP68 omnidirectional condenser capsule is suitable for interview and broadcast applications. It features high quality audio, a robust design and can be used with all Shure wireless handheld microphones. The VP89, meanwhile, is a premium shotgun microphone available in three modular lengths (S, M, L), while the VP82 short shotgun is described as the economical choice for a compact, lightweight small footprint microphone.

Finally, Shure will also show two headsets suited for broadcast and media production. The dual-sided BRH440M and the single-sided BRH441M are said to offer high wearing comfort, excellent ambient noise isolation and pristine audio quality. An automatic mute function provides additional convenience for professional users.

Based on the Shure SRH440 Professional Studio Headphones, the closed-back, circumaural design of the new BRH headsets is intended to ensure reliable isolation from background noise. A dynamic microphone with cardioid polar pattern delivers natural, highly intelligible vocal reproduction while the frequency response is optimised for communication in loud environments.

Both BRH440M and BRH441M feature a flexible, pivoting microphone boom for comfortable left or right side wear. The flip-up mute function automatically deactivates the microphone when raised vertically away from the mouth without the need for a mute button.
