Scotland’s Wardpark Studios sold to Dagenham Studios’ owner

Facility is home to TV series Outlander

Hackman Capital Partners and partner Square Mile Capital Management have acquired Wardpark Film and Television Studios, located in Cumbernauld, Scotland.

Wardpark is the largest and only full-service studio in Scotland. The 14-acre campus offers approximately 200,000 square feet of studio space, including five sound stages, production offices, workshops, and an external green screen area.

The studio is home to TV series Outlander, which is currently filming its sixth season on site.

Hackman Capital currently owns Dagenham Studios and has plans for a second London site in Barking. It also recently acquired two studios in Ireland.

Terry Thomson, chairman and CEO of Wardpark Studios, added: “We are delighted to have Hackman Capital Partners and The MBS Group make their first venture into Scotland. Their experience in the film and television industry and their commitment to Scotland will ensure that Wardpark Studios continues to develop and provide secure employment for years to come.”
