Pac-12 Networks picks Elemental for live streaming

Pac-12 Networks has partnered with Elemental Technologies to provide simulcast streaming to its Pac-12 Now TV Everywhere service as well as the video processing for its YouTube international subscription service.

Pac-12 Networks delivers live coverage of 850 sporting events annually to viewers worldwide via TV, the internet and mobile devices. In August last year Pac-12 Networks created the first live streaming 24×7 subscription sports channel on YouTube.

Elemental’s software processes include live streams for the network’s simulcast national channel as well as broadcasts in Los Angeles, Arizona, Washington, Oregon, the Bay Area and the Mountain region; TV Everywhere content to Pac-12 Networks Android and iOS apps in six different bitrates ranging from 300Kbps up to 1080p at 5Mbps utilising Adobe and Apple streaming formats; live sporting events and original programming for sports fans in 34 countries via the Pac-12 Networks International YouTube platform; and on-demand video and file-based content for Pac-12 Networks.
