IBC saw a joint demonstration between Miranda and Elemental Technologies, showing a seamless multi-channel, multi-platform playout system. Miranda’s iTX playout devices interface directly with Elemental Live video encoders and Conductor management system.
In the demonstration, content from Miranda iTX servers was forwarded to Elemental Live encoders for simultaneous processing and encoding of multiple adaptive bitrate outputs. From a single feed, the channel content could be accessed from a broad range of devices including computers, tablets and smartphones.
Also included in the network were Kaleido multi-viewers from Miranda, ensuring that the different outputs could be monitored and quality checked. Video processing and distribution was managed by Miranda iControl.
Elemental Live is a software upgradable video processing system that creates multiple adaptive bitrate video outputs to deliver live streaming to any device. It is designed to integrate seamlessly into realtime playout platforms such as Miranda’s iTX for multiscreen video delivery.
“The seamless integration of these technologies illustrates an unprecedented level of channel origination, distribution speed and functionality,” said Boromy Ung of Miranda. “The result is a high quality viewing experience, optimised for each platform.”
