Keynote on ITV strategy has X Factor

Andrew Ioannou, Director of Strategy, Technology, Platforms & Business Delivery at ITV, will deliver a Keynote Address on adding value to pressurised high-profile TV productions to TVBEurope’s Fast Turnaround TV conference on 13 March, including a look back at The X Factor Final 2011.

ITV is the UK’s largest advertising-funded broadcaster. ITV Studios makes more hours of network television than any other UK commercial producer. The broadcaster employs more than 4,000 staff across technology, TV programming, online, VoD, interactive and marketing.

Ioannou’s address will explore the development of an integrated strategy for ITV to meet business, operational and technical needs across business units and platforms, broadcast playout, content acquisition, processing, management and delivery, rights and scheduling.

He will look at the strategic planning and development for technologies and workflows behind major high-profile live and as-live ITV productions – including a review of The X Factor 2011 Final.

Also to be discussed: how ITV is harnessing PC/TV convergence, mobile devices, social media, and micropayments to add value to must-watch television events.

Ioannou will also talk about how ITV is identifying next-generation vendor products and solutions to enable ITV to implement a future-proof platform.
