Limecraft has announced a collaboration with ITV Studios Daytime.
Integrating directly with Avid’s MediaCentral solution, Limecraft’s cloud-based transcription and file-sharing capabilities aim to enable ITV Studios Daytime teams to modernise post production, driving efficiencies and streamlining workflows as they process up to 500 hours of raw content every month.
Disconnected logging and file sharing processes have been integrated, reducing the need for human intervention and freeing up ITV’s creative teams to focus on higher value tasks rather than repetitive and time-consuming technical work.
In addition to seamless integration with ITV’s Avid MediaCentral platform, Limecraft’s transcription technology enables large content volumes to be handled in real-time, reducing the time taken to transcribe rushes from hours to minutes. Post production teams can review, annotate and share files instantaneously, allowing real-time feedback and streamlining collaboration across locations.
John Barling, head of technology at ITV Studios Daytime, commented, “We were massive users of WeTransfer before but file sharing from Avid was a clunky process. Limecraft has transformed that. Now our teams can easily find content, clip it and share it with peers, streamlining our workflow and improving collaboration in ways we hadn’t seen before.”
Nick Thomas, head of post production at ITV Studios Daytime, added, “We’ve always strived to innovate and Limecraft has allowed us to do just that. By making our file-sharing and transcription processes faster and more reliable, Limecraft has become a crucial part of our day-to-day operations.”
