DNEG wins big at VES Awards

Company picked up four awards for its work on Denis Villeneuve's Dune

VFX company DNEG was the big winner at the Visual Effects Society Awards in Los Angeles last night.

The company picked up nine of the awards celebrating work in film and TV.

Its work on Denis Villeneuve’s Dune and Apple TV Plus series Foundation won multiple awards.

For its work on Dune, DNEG picked up four awards, including Outstanding Effects for a Photoreal Feature; Foundation: The Emporer’s Peace won the award for Best Photoreal Episode.

The company’s work on Edgar Wright’s Last Night in Soho was also awarded Outstanding Supporting Visual Effects in a Photoreal Feature.

Dune leads the list of nominees in the technical categories at the British Academy Film Awards, which takes place this weekend.
