Amsterdam’s Digital Media Centre (DMC) has added A+E Networks’ Blaze Italy to its new virtualised playout platform.
The platform enables broadcasters and content providers to shrink time to market, reduce hardware requirements and maintain full control over their content.
DMC is providing a range of media management, playout and distribution services for the recently launched channel, including subtitling in English and Italian, advanced dynamic graphics capabilities, Dolby Audio and simulcast distribution on DMC European fully managed fibre network. DMC also provides on-demand media to Sky in Italy through its self-service media portal.
“Having worked alongside DMC to launch our Crime+Investigation and History Italy channels, we have established a deep understanding and trusted relationship, founded on professionalism, care and quality of service,” said Sherin Salvetti, general manager of A+E Networks Italy.
“Blaze is the third channel we have managed with DMC in Italy and it was enabled with perfect execution. DMC’s new fully virtualised platform has allowed us to increase our presence in the region, enabling us to deliver a wider range of dynamic, compelling, higher quality content to specific audiences.”
