CP Cases develop protective camera cases for Winter Olympics

Protect cameras from temperatures that could reach -18°C

CP Cases has developed special protective cases for cameras and equipment at the Winter Olympics.

The cases have been developed together with Camera Corps, a Vitec Group company.

They have been created specifically for the purpose of protecting broadcast equipment including HD and 4K cameras from temperature extremes that could reach -18 °C in PyeonChang.

The companies have developed three bespoke covers: one for the camera heads, one for the actual cameras themselves (HD & 4K) and a third generic cover to protect the entire kit from extreme temperatures, while also ensuring sufficient airflow to ensure equipment does not overheat.

The covers can be used for both operational and overnight purposes.
