SDVI has announced its Rally platform has been selected by RTL Technology.
The German media company, a subsidiary of RTL Deutschland, has deployed Rally as the first step in a wider cloud migration project. Replacing legacy systems with a cloud-native media supply chain management platform, Rally enabled simplified ingest and quality control for both long-form programmes and short-form commercials, said SDVI.
Working across the legacy infrastructure, SDVI Rally enables RTL to modernise workflows while retaining familiarity with existing media processing applications. Rally Application Services ensures tools such as Interra Systems BATON, Minnetonka Audio Tools and new AI services are readily accessible and can be incorporated into RTL’s workflows.
The platform enables customisable UIs and dashboards, allowing each user group to tailor interfaces to meet their specific supply chain needs and providing granular insight into attributes such as costs and tool usage.
David Gageos, head of content quality and processing at RTL, said, “We needed more flexibility, greater scalability, and the ability to meet growing demand for content. The Rally platform is a key part of achieving those goals. The Rally system was quite easy to deploy, and our operators are already able to operate, maintain, and customise our supply chains.”
SDVI partnered with netorium on the project, with the company providing ongoing support services.
