Zattoo chooses Bitmovin Player and hits 500 million web platform impressions

Zattoo has seen player impressions for its web platform increase from 10 million to 500 million since deploying the solution

Bitmovin has announced TV-as-a-service and streaming provider Zattoo has deployed its Bitmovin Player for Web.

Zattoo, which provides services for more than 30 operators in 10 European countries, including its original commercial footprint of Austria, Switzerland and Germany, has seen player impressions for its web platform increase from 10 million to 500 million since deploying the solution, said the company.

With modular architecture, low latency features, configurable ABR and Stream Lab, the Bitmovin Player supports device compatibility across Web, Android, iOS, Roku and major smart TVs, said the company.

Accompanied by comprehensive API documentation, the player integrates into Zattoo’s existing video workflows, with several features that can be selected and adjusted according to requirements, The solution also supports features such as subtitles and captions, multi-audio tracks and Digital Rights Management (DRM).
