EasyTools has announced its video infrastructure solutions are powering Ligue 1 distribution.
With a requirement for a high-performance, flexible and easily deployable solution to ensure end-to-end services for its operators, the French football league selected the EasyTools software solution.
Deployed by EasyTools for Mediawan Diffusion as a Ligue 1 service provider, the platform includes features for receiving, encoding, processing, distribution and monitoring, enabling up to nine matches to be simultaneously managed, as well as supporting the playout of pre-recorded content to supplement live broadcasts.
Receiving SDI and IP signals, the solution encodes each feed in 4:2:2 quality, with outputs available in both interlaced and progressive formats. The signals are processed for conversion, logo insertion and Kantar audio watermarking ahead of distribution. Monitoring and alerts are provided by an integrated multiviewer.
As part of the technical distribution of Ligue 1 content, a high-performance, flexible and easily deployable solution was required to guarantee end-to-end service for all operators involved. EasyTools met these requirements by providing a comprehensive and adaptable platform, centralising operations for increased simplicity and responsiveness.
The system went live in August and has reduced the number of parties involved, accelerated implementation and streamlined stakeholder communication. Installed in less than a month, the platform provided live Ligue 1 broadcasts to more than 600,000 subscribers from the first weekend.
Christophe Massiot, CEO of EasyTools, said, “The increasing complexity and fragmentation of media workflows have resulted in a diverse supplier ecosystem. Our commitment is to simplify this landscape with flexible and comprehensive solutions that are robust, affordable, and accountable.”
