Big Blue Marble has announced an upgrade to its Cloud Video Kit, bringing live multiview channels to the platform.
Aiming to enable multiple live feeds to be watched in a single stream, the feature allows viewers to choose which feeds they want to see and arrange them across the screen, said the company.
Powered by Amazon Web Services (AWS) Elemental Dynamic Multiview, the solution combines live sources such as additional camera angles, concurrent games or a mix of channels into a single HLS/DASH stream at the point of delivery. Layouts are assembled on demand, meaning the cost scales with the number of encoded source streams rather than the number of layout combinations. A single DRM key on any end-user device protects the stream, regardless of frame arrangement without custom SDKs or special integrations, said the company.
The integration makes multiview channels available as part of the infrastructure already used by Cloud Video Kit customers as part of their everyday operations.
