Netflix has debuted a new subtitling option.
The addition aims to enhance audience experiences by allowing viewers to select original language subtitles that only show spoken dialogue. Initially launched in English, the streamer plans to provide the service across all languages it offers.

Viewers turning on Subtitles for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (SDH/CC) will be presented with a second option which removes audio cues such as [door slams] or [dramatic music swells] and speaker names, providing captions with spoken dialogue only.
The facility first appeared on YOU Season 5 and will soon be rolled out across all Netflix originals, said the company.
