Eurosport 4K to broadcast Olympics in UHD HDR

Both this Tokyo 2020 and Beijing 2022 will be available to viewers in UHD HDR

Sports fans in Germany will be able to watch this summer’s delayed Olympic Games in UHD HDR.

Eurosport 4K will broadcast events from Tokyo in the high resolution format for the first time. The channel is available via premium high-definition satellite service HD+.

“2021 is an extraordinary year for sports fans and the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games will be of particular importance,” said Susanna Aigner, managing director of Discovery Germany.

“Our goal is to offer viewers in Germany the best viewing experience and we are proud that we are proud to announce that Eurosport 4K together with our partner HD+ will broadcast the Olympic Games in Germany in UHD HDR quality for the first time. Sports fans will love the brilliance and will be able to enjoy all the emotions and impressive stories of the Olympic Games even more.”

Eurosport also plans to offers fans the 2022 Beijing Winter Games in UHD HDR.
