Ross Video Artimo lifts 3Cat-TV3 production at new Barcelona facility

The project demonstrates the company's expanding EMEA presence and its role supporting public service broadcasting in Europe

Ross Video has revealed details of a collaboration with 3Cat.

Catalonian public-service broadcaster 3Cat-TV3, part of Televisió de Catalunya / CCMA, has opened a new studio in Barcelona, aiming to enhance viewer experiences through investment in cutting edge innovations.

The facility features five Ross Video Artimo Systems, making 3Cat one of the first major European broadcasters to adopt the solution at scale. Eliminating the need for additional dollies and jibs, Artimo is able to carry a complete broadcast payload including camera, lens teleprompter and monitor, said the company.

Commenting on the deployment, Paulí Subirà, Head Art & Directing Managing Director, 3Cat, said, “We are delighted with the results of this ambitious and innovative project, and we hope the audience enjoys it as much as we do. A big thank-you to Ross Video for their dedication and commitment in bringing this project with five Artimos to life.”

As part of its continuing expansion across the EMEA market, the project also highlights Ross Video’s role in helping to drive high-quality PSB across Europe.
