Sony has announced French radio station NRJ has deployed its camera systems as part of a video infrastructure modernisation programme.
Designed to meet the growing need to provide video, NRJ’s studio upgrade aimed to upgrade its broadcast capabilities while maintaining the ergonomics of the workspace. Replacing the existing camera fleet, the company deployed Sony BRC-AM7 PTZ cameras, aiming to combine high image quality with discreet integration.
Explaining, Mathieu Guinet, technical manager at NRJ, said, “We needed to replace our old Sony cameras and set up a compact, high-quality system that would integrate seamlessly into the studio. Available space was one of the project’s main constraints; we had to install several cameras in limited locations without compromising image quality or the experience of the hosts and guests.”
Featuring AI-powered automatic framing, the 4K60p BRC-AM7 is a next-generation PTZ camera designed for broadcast, corporate and event use cases. Its compact design and ease of implication makes it well suited to environments requiring flexibility and discretion. The solution has helped to equip NRJ with an updated infrastructure to meet its video needs across live broadcast, clipping and social media, or digital production associated with its programmes.
“Everyone is very satisfied with the image quality,” added Guinet. “The cameras’ web interface is also very practical for day-to-day operations and monitoring.”
