Autoscript and Autocue launch new PTZ prompters

Both solutions feature integrated hood design, advanced cable management, and first-in-class Sony FR7 compatibility, said the companies

Autoscript and Autocue have jointly announced the launch of new PTZ prompter solutions.

Designed to provide prompting in dynamic multi-camera broadcast environments, the Autoscript PTZ Prompter and Autocue PTZ Prompter both feature rigid enclosures enabling streamlined installation, efficient cable routing and protection for PTZ cameras.

Both solutions support a wide range of PTZ cameras including the Sony FR7, which is capable of calibration with the prompter glass mounted, offering a “significant operational advantage,” said the companies.

Anel Abiken, product manager at Prompting, commented, “Prompting with PTZ cameras has always involved compromise until now. By collaborating across both brands and closely with our customers, we’ve developed an innovative solution that offers a stable, flexible solution for any studio setup. It simplifies installation, protects the camera, and improves workflow across the board.”

Key features include:

  •  Internal camera cradle for inverted PTZ mounting
  •  Continuous adjustment of the camera position
  •  +/-15° panning and +/-5° tilting inside the hood with wide-angle lens
  •  VESA mounting on top and rear for flexible rigging
  • Rear cable access cover and enclosed PSU housing

With EVO-IP configuration, Autoscript’s PTZ Prompter has a carbon fibre finish with side flags, while the Autocue PTZ Prompter is matt black with Pioneer monitor options.
