AWS Elemental MediaConnect now enables users to transport live video using the Secure Reliable Transport (SRT) protocol.
AWS Elemental MediaConnect is a flexible transport service for live video that enables broadcasters and content owners to build live video workflows and share live content with partners and customers.
As well as SRT, it also supports Zixi, Reliable Internet Stream Transport (RIST), and Real-Time Transport Protocol (RTP).
Amazon said the support for all the different protocols means that MediaConnect users can build a varied ecosystem of reliable live video transport applications running inside and outside of the AWS Cloud.
